Method Books
During the pandemic, Dan Graser used the extra time from cancelled performances to start writing method books that have significantly updated the existing pedagogy in print form. The trilogy is rounded out by CHOPS 3: The Sinta Quartet Method, written by all four quartet members, which is the first book of its kind to give saxophone quartets – from a beginning level through advanced collegiate study – a complete guide to rehearsal techniques, warm-ups, and fundamentals, enabling the highest level of chamber music study. The book is replete with exercises and suggestions about topics such as intonation, blend, uniformity, cueing, and more.
